About Save Our Sea Bass

Save Our Sea Bass was formed in early 2015 to create political pressure to:

  • halt the decline of the sea bass stock;
  • restore the stock to abundancy; and
  • fight for sea anglers’ rights in the sea bass fishery.

We make it easy for people to contact the fishery managers in the UK and the EU to tell them how they want the sea bass fishery managed.

Save Our Sea Bass is the campaigning arm of the Bass Anglers’ Sportfishing Society (B.A.S.S.) and is funded by donations and by members of B.A.S.S.   B.A.S.S.  has been working to protect sea bass and bass angling since it was formed in 1973.

Save Our Sea Bass’ work is carried out by a team of volunteers who are passionate about sea bass angling and who want a better future for the sea bass fishery and sea bass angling. We support both sustainable catch & eat angling and catch & release bass angling.

SOSB is at the heart of the political debate on the future of the sea bass fishery in Northern Europe.
